The Easter Holidays

Well, once again, this blog has become non-existant.

What was I doing instead of this blog? Not a lot. I mean, I could have done it. It is for my benefit to realise what I have actually been doing. It's not entertaining, even if it was, nobody reads it so they wouldn't find out. Sigh. Hopefully, this is the start of a new reign of this blog. One for the ages.

Who am I kidding? I am currently neglecting about five blogs.

Anyway, it's the Bank Holiday which symbolises the end of Easter. The Monday. Happy Egg to you all. Of course, what comes with these days off are holidays and I am back in that capital of capitals: London. It's not as great as all the literature suggests, but I like it enough. It's sprawling, it's dense. There is so much to do in London.

I haven't actually been in the city yet and I only have a week left, but whatever. I can still display my casual love for the town nonetheless. I haven't even been to swamplike nightclub, ZOO Bar, yet. How bizarre. I've spent most of my time attempting to read Brown's The House with the Green Shutters to no avail. I also couldn't find any secondary reading in the shambles also known as Ealing Broadway Library. Have you seen their selection of books? Broad, indeed.

Another recent hobby/venture of mine is the gym. I have decided to get my weight to around 100kg by my 21st birthday. I started at 137kg and now I am 132kg. That is after six weeks. Good progress, if it could be a bit quicker. And due to Easter holidays and feasting, I have probably put it all back on. Like a moron. So yeah, that's a new thing. I still haven't paid for my first month of gym in London and have now spent all the money that should've gone towards that, which is a real shame. I borrowed money to pay it off. Spent it.

Thankfully, I am not stupid enough to ever get a credit card.

On Easter Sunday, the family did not go to church. Me, my father and my mother were all extremely hungover. We've booked our respective exorcisms, but please, let me explain. The day before, Celtic had won the Scottish Premier League after beating Kilmarnock 6-0. There was much drinking, my dad bought a few rounds, I bought...one. Anyway, alcohol was consumed. I left the pub, Dad stayed, and then met a friend/flatmate from Aberdeen at Wetherspoons. This was after a nap, a nap which led to a hangover. More alcohol was required. My Mum went out for drinks with a few friends which led to her drinking both beer and wine in the same evening. Ouch.

Good reasons for being deviants, I believe. Let's have a drink to celebrate this blog's resurrection.

How topical.
